THE STORY
On the ground at Mediacorp’s New Year’s Countdown: photographing performance, movement and the connection between the stage and its audience.
The live setting demanded constant adaptation: dramatic lighting changes, moving performers and crowded sightlines. Siang Kai’s coverage focused on the presence and emotion behind the performance, alongside the wider energy of the event.
Photographed on 31 December 2024, as Singapore welcomed 2025. The celebration year and the date of the shoot are distinct.
